 This is a stunning specimen. 
This specimen is a fossilized marine snail (gastropod) originating from the Neogene sedimentary layers (likely Miocene or Pliocene epoch) of the Nyalindung Formation in Sukabumi, West Java.Only a small amount of matrix is attached to this fossilized sea snail from West Java. The matrix is basically stuck to the aperture of the underside of the shell.

The rest of the shell is visible with its beautiful ridged texture created by the spiral batten of the seashell, and you can clearly see the beautiful hypnotic swirl at the very front of the fossil.

The colour is uniform throughout. A beautiful display of bees, very simple. 

found in the river in the Sukabumi area of West Java.
The Sukabumi area of West Java is famous among collectors for Miocene and Pliocene epoch marine deposits. River-sourced specimens like this often have smooth, water-worn outer surfaces from natural river erosion, which makes the coiling highly visible but sometimes strips away fine surface details.
This is a  a traditional calcareously replaced or siltstone-matrix cast.beautifully intact, standard matrix cast
