O. Koefoed: Danske Postfrimaerker 1851–1901. En historisk Afhandling Udarbejdet paa Grundlag af Originale Aktstykker, Format ca. 15,5 x 20 cm, 152 + IV Seiten, mit zahlreichen Abbildungen, aber auch mit einer farbigen Wappen-Seite. Im zweiten Buchteil sind die erschienenen Marken abgebildet. Ein komplettes Exemplar dieses Werkes gehört zu den grossen philatelistischen Literatur-Raritäten: Das Buch findet sich meist ohne die fünf Marken-Neudrucke (zwei Neudrucke, zwei Essai-Neudrucke, ein Original). Vollständig ist das buch nur mit:
• auf Seite 87 (oben rechts) Neudrucke der Fire R.B.S. und der 2 Rigsbankskilling, die in der Ausführung tatsächlich den Originalen entsprechen (mehr dazu auf der Seite über die Neudrucke),
• auf Seite 119 einen Essai-Neudruck (links oben) des Essais von 1850 (FIRE SKILL.) in Rotbraun,
• auf Seite 121 einen Neudruck (links Mitte) eines 2 RBS-Essais (AFA NE2F) und
• auf Seite 152 eine Originalmarke (links unten; Facit Nr. 31, MiNr. 25) mit Stempel von Kopenhagen vom 1.4.1901.

Roter Hardcover-Einband mit goldener Buchtitelprägung auf dem Buchrücken und Krone + Posthorn auf dem Titel. Innen ist das Buch gut erhalten, der Einband hat leichte Randmängel. Innen zudem Bibliotheksstempel. Handelspreise betragen meist zwischen 280–300 Euro.

The second part of the book contains illustrations of the stamps that were issued. A complete copy of this work is one of the great rarities of philatelic literature: the book is usually found without the five stamp reprints (two reprints, two essay reprints, one original). The book is only complete with:
• on page 87 (top right) reprints of the Fire R.B.S. and the 2 Rigsbankskilling, which actually correspond to the originals in their design (more on this on the page about reprints),
• on page 119, a trial reprint (top left) of the 1850 trial (FIRE SKILL.) in reddish brown,
• on page 121, a reprint (centre left) of a 2 RBS trial (AFA NE2F) and
• on page 152, an original stamp (bottom left; Facit No. 31, MiNo. 25) with a Copenhagen postmark dated 1 April 1901.

Red hardcover with gold embossed title on the spine and crown + post horn on the title page. The book is in good condition inside, the cover has slight edge damage. There is also a library stamp inside. Retail prices are usually between £240 and £270.
