It was virtually indefensible. He also had extraordinary stamina, technical mastery and a commanding ring presence. He had a granite chin and elite toughness. He defeated Ken Norton in 1978 to become world champion and didn’t lose again until September 1985 when he lost his title and his 48-0 record to Michael Spinks. He is one of the best of all time.
