Classification: HED achondrite (Howardite)

History: Purchased by Grant Harkness in 2021 from a Moroccan dealer.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Complex breccia dominated by angular clasts of diogenitic orthopyroxene (exhibiting undulose extinction, with a wide range in Fe/Mg) plus ~25 vol.% lithic eucrite clasts and related mineral debris (exsolved pigeonite, unexsolved pigeonite and anorthite). The most ferroan orthopyroxene and some of the anorthite may be derived from feldspathic to noritic diogenite lithologies. Accessory phases include olivine (with a range in Fe/Mg), silica polymorph, ilmenite, Ti-free chromite and troilite.
