This large, oval cameo-style piece features a beautiful, hand-painted Lily of the Valley —the traditional botanical symbol for a "return to happiness."

To the right of the stem, it is clearly hand-signed by the artist, "Louis." The cabochon is securely set with four heavy prongs into an ornate, gold-tone frame featuring an elegant outer beaded border and a textured rope-style inner trim.

The hand-painted floral motif features fine, authentic surface crazing/cracking within the paint layer (visible under magnification, particularly on the green leaves and the signature), which beautifully verifies its age and hand-crafted nature. No chips or cracks to the base cabochon.
