Panzer Dragoon is one of the most iconic and critically acclaimed games for the Sega Saturn, released in 1995 as a launch title in North America. Developed by Team Andromeda, a division of Sega, it is a rail shooter set in a richly imagined post-apocalyptic, sci-fi world with a unique artistic style and haunting atmosphere. The game is played in a 3rd-person perspective behind your character who's riding a flying dragon. Enemies approach from all sides and you attack them with your rapid-fire gun and the lock-on laser breath attack of the dragon, capable of hitting multiple targets. The art design is fantastic, featuring ruined ancient civilizations, flying bio-mechanical creatures and a desert world reminiscent of Dune and Moebius artwork.
