I have here for sale a stunning example of an early Ola Gorie Art Nouveau design Scottish Sterling silver brooch. In a very nicely presented jewellery box which is how i came across this brooch so the brooch will stay with the presentation box. The jewellery box is marked with the details of a Jeweller In Chatham as shown.

Measuring about 4.5 cm in diameter and has a silver weight of 9.2 grams so feels heavy in your hand.
Well marked as shown with makers stamp for Ola Gorie and Edinburgh hallmarks. There is a date letter which i have shown but i am a little unsure of the date as the mark is a little rubbed most likely due to the age of this piece which to my eye looks to be a 1970s era brooch.
A beautiful solid silver brooch from a renewed Scottish Maker originating from the Orkneys and with the bonus of the well made decorative protective presentation box.
A nice item for the collector of Scottish silver jewellery.
