First edition/first impression (‘1998’); UK; paperback original

Near Fine : no noteworthy flaws, pretty much As New

One of the earliest English-language overviews of the global neo-Nazi music scene, examining the international far-right skinhead and “white power” music scene

Scarce.

With coverage of the origins of skinhead culture and its split into racist factions; the “Blood & Honour” network and related organisations; national scenes in UK, Germany, Sweden, Poland and the States; the role of the music industry and global distribution; and early online networks promoting extremist content.

Published by Searchlight, the British anti-fascist magazine founded in 1975, the book was produced as a collaborative project involving anti-racist researchers and journalists, with different contributors each focusing on a country or theme.

The chapter titled Racism Incorporated – White Power Music in Sweden was written by Stieg Larsson (here credited as Stieg Larson) who, as well as writing the Millennium series of crime novels (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo etc.), was also a far-left activist and journalist.
