Haunted Jar 1979 Baby Shower Gift With Attachment Of Michael Crib Death Victim.

Morbid at first glance, this vintage jar is haunted with the spirit of a 4 month old infant named Michael. He prefers to be called "Mikey", as this was what his parents called him.

This jar was a baby shower gift for Mikey's Mother. It was once filled with little tidbits of advice from the other women who were important in her life, Grandmothers, Mother, in-laws, Aunties, cousins and friends.

A bittersweet memory, the moment at the shower when they played the advice jar game. After unwrapping her treasure, she tearfully read each note out loud, guessing whose advice it was. Mostly the advice trended towards unconditional love and remembering to take care of herself as well. They all laughed and cried together. A moment filled with hope and anticipation.

Six months later, the Mother sobbed as she packed up items from the nursery. As she held the jar, she felt guilty, wondering if she had somehow failed her infant son. Rushing back, like a vicious smack to her face, was the moment she found him cold and lifeless one morning. Had he suffered? Did he cry for her? Was he hungry?
