THE GREEN ELF

Samuel is in Fez—a city in Morocco—while Carmen is in Seville. They remain in love and dream of being able to reunite someday. Carmen faces pressure from her family and friends to accept a marriage proposal from another man who is courting her. From Fez—and once his family is reasonably settled—Samuel attempts to make his way to Seville. However, the task is fraught with difficulty, as the Inquisition is actively persecuting Jews in Spain.
