Soldiers are actively working at the telegraph key under a thatched shelter, with “Cal. 30” ammunition boxes visible. A barefoot man in a white shirt (perhaps a local assistant) stands nearby. A really wonderful, detailed view of military communications during the early 20th century (likely WWI era or training, circa 1917–1920s). Panama or Philippines(?)
