EVH Frankenstein Humbucker Pickup
The EVH Frankenstein Humbucker is a replica pickup recreating the sound of the original humbucker fitted to Eddie Van Halen's legendary self-built guitar "Frankenstein."
Overview
- Legendary "brown sound": characterized by sticky, fat mid-range and pleasant highs, outputting Eddie's distinctive powerful tone.
- Alnico 2 magnet: creates a moderately aged vintage feel and a warm, clear sound.
- High-output design: a relatively high DC resistance of about 14.4kΩ, with power that drives easily while finely preserving picking nuance.
- Excellent volume response: rolling back the guitar's volume knob transitions smoothly from distortion to beautiful clean sound.
