This is the first book to be singly concerned with that early architecture of Berkeley. Included are brief biographies of the architects who designed the buildings, and information on the inhabitants who occupied them. The book spans the period from 1841, when Jose Domingo Peralta built his adobe on the banks of Codornices Creek, to 1910, the year Bernard Maybeck's magnificent, expressionist First Church of Christ, Scientist was built. The book campus structures, churches, hotels, and last but not least, residences.

Condition - very good, nicely cared for.  No markings.  Ships well protected.
