Black Spinel Earrings.

These earrings were designed using tiny 4mm and 2mm Black Spinel gemstones, 11/0 Miyuki galvanised silver seed beads, and 925 sterling silver shepherd hooks.

Spinel is a gemstone whose name is believed to originate from the Latin word ‘Spina’, meaning ‘thorn’, alluding to its crystal formation.  Pure Spinel is white, but the most popular colour is red, as seen in the English Crown Jewels.  It can also be found in black, green, blue, brown and purple. 

The gemstones I use are ethically sourced and hand-cut, so there may be slight differences in colour, size and inclusions within each stone. 

Each item is lovingly gift-wrapped in a burlap gift bag, making it a beautiful and unique gift.

The packaging is recyclable and eco-friendly.
