This postcard shows a view of a hotel in Upstate NY. Several men sit on the porch flanked by two large metal button signs that read Oneida Ales & Porters Utica. The sign on the building reads Snyder's Hotel. There are wooden stables in view to the right next door.
This 1907 map of Oriskany I included an image of shows the hotel owned by D.G. Snyder at the NE corner of River and Orchard Streets. (now a parking lot). For reference, I've also shown here an image from a Utica newspaper dated Jan 10, 1918 showing the auction of the property.
The card back is divided and is postmarked Oriskany NY 1912. Condition is good to very good as shown. Guaranteed vintage and original. The watermark is not on the postcard you are buying here. All of our cards are shipped safely inside a rigid postcard mailer.
