An antique 1860's Staffordshire ceramic figurine of historic Shakespeare's House, Stratford-upon-Avon prior to the homes restoration in 1857-58. It measures 6" in length. 2.75” deep and 5" in height. This Victorian-era piece features a glossy multicolor finish and depicts English historical architecture. Made in the United Kingdom, this rare collectible captures the essence of 19th-century English craftsmanship.
The house had a paper inscription written on the bottom per photo. The inscription says “Grandpa John’s when he was a small boy. Twins really liked it.” This piece was found in an estate sale after the passing of an 89 year old woman.
The house is in outstanding condition. No cracks, chips or crazing.
