Beautiful antique Gouda art pottery vase by Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH), dating to circa 1918. A great example of early 20th-century Dutch pottery, showing the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco.
Hand-painted in vibrant multicolor tones with a glossy finish and classic symmetrical floral/abstract design typical of Gouda ware.
The base features the PZH “Gate of Lazarus” mark, along with model number 427 and a factory symbol dating the piece to 1918. Also includes an artist’s monogram (unidentified).
Very good antique condition.
