This grinder is in very good vintage condition and is in working condition.  The sterling has no dings or dents that are noticeable. Normal wear for the age of this piece.  The wood is in very good condition. see pictures for design and condition.   It has polished to a lovely vintage patina.

This piece measures 4 1/8 inches tall and has a bottom base of almost 2 inches.  Nice pear shape on the wood portion with a beaded edge on the top and bottom and a lovely finial.
