The VeEX VePAL CX380 is a professional handheld CATV (cable TV / HFC network) test solution designed for analog and digital cable networks. It combines signal level measurement (SLM), spectrum analysis, digital QAM channel analysis, and cable modem testing in a single rugged, lightweight instrument with a 7-inch color touch-screen. It is widely used by field technicians for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of coaxial CATV networks.

Core capabilities include a 5 MHz to 1 GHz frequency range, comprehensive SLM measurements (single channel, system scan, tilt, and installation check), spectrum analysis with a fast 30 ms sweep time, and digital channel measurements (level, MER, Pre/Post BER, and constellation display for QAM 16/64/128/256). The unit powers on normally and the main test menus operate as shown in the photos.

This unit is offered as a used, tested-and-working instrument, complete with its original carrying case, AC adaptor, power cords, shoulder strap, USB memory stick, F-type connector adaptors, and quick reference booklets.   • Used - Good, Tested & Working - The unit powers on and operates. Menus, touch-screen, and basic functions have been confirmed as shown in the photos. As a pre-owned professional instrument, there are scratches and signs of field use from normal handling, but nothing that affects basic operation. As perception of condition can vary by individual, kindly review all photos carefully before purchasing.

Important Notes - Please Read Before Purchase

  • USG / ASI / SWEEP ports are NOT installed. When the top cover is opened, the connector positions for USG (Upstream Signal Generator), ASI (MPEG ASI Output), and SWEEP are blanked/filled from the factory on this unit. These are optional hardware features, and they are NOT equipped on this particular unit. Please do not expect Upstream Signal Generator, MPEG ASI output, or Return Path Sweep functionality.
  • Optional software features not guaranteed. The CX380 supports many optional software features (MPEG analysis, advanced digital measurements, DOCSIS cable modem, Ethernet/IP testing, etc.). Availability of any optional feature depends on the licenses installed on this specific unit and is not guaranteed. Please judge based on the photos of the actual menu screens.
  • Not calibrated. This unit is sold as-is without a current calibration certificate. If measurement accuracy for professional use is required, please arrange calibration on your side.
  • The small metal name tag shown in some photos is our eBay store nameplate (for photo identification only) and is not included.
