"As It Was" is a
prominent local history book covering three closed primary schools in the West
Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia. Written by Joy Wheaton, Noreen Wheaton,
and Joan Gordon, it documents Ballarook State School No. 2687, Broughton
State School No. 3094, and Peechember West State School No. 3117. The book
was published in 1994 by a local reunion committee to commemorate a joint
schools reunion held on April 9th–10th of that year.
