GW Biplanes Flight Flying Hendon Series Aviation Aerodrome RPPC c1910s

It shows two early biplanes in mid-air flight over a large grassy airfield. A long row of hangars and grandstands filled with spectators is visible in the background. The captions read '2. G.W. Biplanes In Flight' and 'Flying At Hendon Series'.

The card was posted from London on 11th May, and bears a green King George V halfpenny stamp.

The handwritten message appears to read: "Dear Gwen I went to see the aeroplains yesterday and they were right in front of us it is here You will be very pleased to know that granny gave me three little boxes and perhaps you can play with them" The card is addressed to Master G. Dunton, Wilmslow, Cheshire.
