The old range of models made by the wonderful Dave Gilbert in Halesowen are my favourite Dinky alternatives. Some of them represent the models Dinky should have made but didn't, so Dave stepped in to the breach.

This one comes from his earlier years when he was still based at Linden Avenue, Halesowen. He made several different variants of mid 1930s coach-built Bentley cars from after the Rolls-Royce takeover. This one is a fine 'sedanca' with the front part of the roof opened up. 

There is hardly a mark on it and it has its original box, with his hand-written 'Bentley Sedanca' ID on the D.G.Models label.

My investment tip for what it's worth? Keep a lookout for these and stash them away for a few years. His skills are increasingly being recognised and not many come on the market. If I'm wrong, which I doubt, you will enjoy looking at them anyway...
