"Yuzuru" is an opera by Ikuma Dan, adapted from Junji Kinoshita's signature play. This is a live recording of a semi-stage performance held in 2024 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth at the Yokosuka Arts Theater, a place closely associated with Dan. Based on the folktale "The Crane Wife," this masterpiece of Japanese opera vividly depicts human greed, performed by expressive singers and the Yokosuka Arts Theater Boys and Girls Chorus.
