Mottahedeh Diplomatic Eagle Porcelain Mug, made in Portugal. Stands approximately 4.25" high with a 3" diameter. The central emblem shows the Great Seal of the United States, featuring a bald eagle with wings outspread. The banner in the eagle's beak reads "E Pluribus Unum", which is Latin for "Out of Many, One". The eagle holds an olive branch (symbolizing peace) in it's right talon and a bundle of arrows (symbolizing strength) in it's left talon. The chest is covered by a shield with vertical red and white stripes and a blue "chief" on top horizontal bar. A classic blue and white border circles the rim - - a hallmark of Mottahedeh's historical reproductions. Brand New and in pristine condition; no tag or box.
