Cover was flown in VC.10 of No.10 Squadron from London to Cairo conveying the then Prime Minister John Major MP, The Secretary for Defence, The Right Honourable Malcolm Rifkind, The Chief of The Defence Staff, Field Marshal Sir Richard Vincent and several members of Parliament to a commemoration event marking the 50th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein. Also flown to Alexandria and Burg El Arab.
