Threaded soup ladle. Made by S. Kirk & Son in Baltimore. An early piece in this pattern, which was first produced by Kirk in 1835. Script monogram engraved on terminal recto. Marks (1846-61): "S. K & Son" maker’s stamp and "11 OZ" fineness stamp (that is, 11/12 or 916 silver).
