Une bougie de préchauffage se décline en plusieurs versions
- Bougie de préchauffage en acier .
- Bougie de préchauffage en céramique.
Elles se différencient dans la structure et dans la tension d’alimentation.
À cause de cette différente dans la tension d’alimentation, il n’est pas possible de changer la version montée sur la voiture en usine par une autre version.
Il est aussi interdit d’installer des bougies en acier et en céramique sur un même véhicule parce que les logiciels des appareils de commande du moteur sont seulement adaptés à la version montée en usine.
Il faut tenir compte du couple de serrage recommandé par le fabricant lors du montage de nouvelles bougies.
Si un mauvais couple de serrage est utilisé, cela pourrait conduire à des pertes de compression .
Si les bougie de préchauffage sont montées de façon inappropriée, cela pourrait non seulement endommager les bougies mais aussi affecter le moteur.
Il est donc recommandé qu’un professionnel fasse le montage.
