ATTENTION POSTCARD COLLECTORS!

A large part of this haul was dozen’s of postcard albums full of common, semi rare and rare RPPC’s. I will be listing some real beauty’s soon… I am doing scans at 600 dpi, so you can zoom in and enjoy!


Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic historical photograph/postcard from the Kurume Prisoner of War Camp in Fukuoka, Japan, dated April 20, 1919. The front features a crisp group portrait of the "Turnverein Kurume" (T.V.K.) athletic club gymnastics/sports team. The German inscription on the front reads:"Sieger im Fünf-Kampf des T.V.K. • 20. April 1919 / Kurume-Japan" (Winners in the Pentathlon of the T.V.K. - Easter Sunday, 1919). The back features a hand-drawn triangle emblem enclosing the letters "PR", likely an archival, inventory, or camp processing mark.

Item Specifications:

Dimensions: Approximately 5 1/2” x 4”Format: Unposted photographic card / Silver gelatin print paper type.

Origin: Captives from the Siege of Tsingtao held at the Kurume Camp, Japan.

Condition Report:Please review the high-resolution 600 DPI scans carefully. The card shows authentic signs of its 100+ year age. There is mild creasing and edge wear consistent with early 20th-century paper artifacts, along with faint smudging on the reverse side. The front image remains clear with excellent contrast and legible text.

Shipping & Handling:

Will be shipped flat inside a rigid postcard top-loader, sandwiched between heavy cardboard sheets to prevent bending. Fully insured shipping with tracking. International buyers welcome.
