As mentioned already in their biography Second Album by German bandVIRUS revealed quiteA significant change in themSound comparedTo their debut. Little resemblance To Psychedelic KrautrockCan be foundOn thisOne here which had beenRecorded by an almost completely different line-up. There were even rumors saying that Heep's Ken Hensley had been involved in making this record. And actually The style presented here wouldn't be that far away FromTheOneof that famous Britishband and could be described as organ-dominatedHEAVY blues rock. Probably not To be called really that much progressive in The literal sense and by far not unique what we get offered here since there were plentyof bands during that era doingA similar childofMUSIC . But On The other hand thisOne 's anything butA boring affair I would say andSTILL worthA coupleof spins assumedOne likes early 70's hard rock. Fans of early Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, BLACK SABBATH orBlack Widow might be interestedTo check it out but I doubt that this recordCan be considered relevantFOR any prog fan. Very solid proto-prog though and worth. (hdfisch - progarchives.com)
