Original 1950s Colorado Yellow Cab Co. chauffeur/taxi driver cap, manufactured by Stratton and marked size 7 3/8.

The metal plaque attached to the side is a 1953 Colorado chauffeur license badge, numbered 11 2780. These state-issued badges corresponded to the driver’s chauffeur license number and were worn on a hat or uniform as visible proof that the driver was licensed.

Also attached is a vintage Cat’s Paw “Safety First” advertising button, promoting Cat’s Paw slip-resistant rubber shoe heels and soles.

Bright yellow cloth crown with embroidered Yellow Cab Co. patch, black woven band and glossy black visor. Displays substantial authentic occupational wear, including staining, fading, fraying, surface scratches and age-related deterioration. Please review all photos carefully for condition.

A rare, wonderfully preserved piece of Colorado taxi, transportation and occupational history.
