G. Keller - Paris Antique Tea/Picnic Set For Two w/ Leather & Canvas Case

This is a spectacular and rare antique silver-plated traveling tea set in the original sectioned leather box covered in a protective canvas cover.

This Sterling silver plated set is marked G. Keller Paris.

The set includes a charming teapot with woven bamboo handle over the silver plated handle. A sugar bowl and creamer that nest inside for travel. A screw on lidded container that would have held the tea. Another lidded pot which would have held the hot water with a removable bone handle that also stores in the pot for travel. There are 2 cups made of porcelain that are removable from the silver plated cup holders. There are also 2 spoons included that are marked Christofle and are silver plated.

This set was appraised at the Antiques Roadshow in Charleston and we were told that it is from the late 1800’s.

This was a rare traveling tea set that has been in my in-laws family from that time.

Measures approx 14” by 5” by 4” and weighs over 5 lbs.

Could use a gentle cleaning but I will leave that up to the buyer.
