This is a beautiful antique 925 sterling silver Art Deco bar brooch, which could also be used as a tie bar. It was made by Thomas L. Mott and is stamped on the reverse TLM and Sterling. The brooch is a long bar mounted in the centre with a closed-backed silver frame holding a reverse painted butterfly wing gem under glass. The image features a beautifully painted tropical beach scene with palm trees. It fastens with a safety pin type catch.
In very good antique condition.
