The coin presents with full original mint luster and sharp strike. A faint tone ring is visible on the reverse edge from contact with the capsule — normal for Showpak-housed examples and does not affect the coin's appeal or bullion value. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's iconic Walking Liberty design, originally used on the US Half Dollar from 1916–1947 and widely considered one of the most beautiful American coin designs ever produced. The reverse displays John Mercanti's heraldic eagle. The American Silver Eagle program launched in 1986 and remains the world's best-selling silver bullion coin.
