Genuine, authentic, original hand signed War vintage photograph of Luftwaffe General der Flieger Joachim Coeler.
Coeler was a highly decorated German Air Force Wing and Air Force Corps Commander during WW2!
Coeler was known as Luftwaffe Commander of 9th Flieger Division, IX Fliegerkorps and XIV Fliegerkorps particularly during the Battle of France and the Defense of the Reich.
Because of his military successes, he was awarded the German Cross in Gold, the Heer/Luftwaffe Oct.1938 Honour Medal, the Honour Cross for Front Fighters and the Iron Cross First and Second Class.
Because of his extreme bravery and successful military leadership in combat, Coeler was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross on July 12 1940!
Coeler was also mentioned one time in the Wehrmachtbericht....another high honour!
The War vintage Der Reichsmarschall(Luftwaffe) postcard photograph shows Coeler as Luftwaffe General der Flieger wearing his Knights Cross and he has signed his name and rank as General on the left side of the image in black pencil. The signed foto has lite collectors album remains on reverse, otherwise is in very good condition. I purchased this from the Becker Collection earlier this year. Along with a modern internet, unsigned print of Coeler standing behind Der Reichsmarschall in a Luftwaffe Generals conference as shown in the scan. Total: 2 items
