Dolls house miniature 1:12 superb porcelain Victorian lady doll, ‘Cecile’, by Maria Jose Santos of Carabosse Dolls.

Some of her earlier, rare work.

I contacted Maria for some more information about the doll and she replied thus:

“The name of this doll is Cecile and I made it a long time ago, in the period between 2003 and 2005. She is dressed in a late Victorian ball gown (end of 1870s decade) made of grey and red shantung silk and cotton lace. The skirt and frontal pannels are hand embroidered.

I don't have much information or records of the first years of work. This doll belongs to my first decade of dollmaking, as I started making dolls in 1997.”

She’s in immaculate condition.
