In 1970 this factory went on strike and a total number of Corvettes manufactured Was, 6648 as convertibles. The engine being 350 ci 350 hp they only made 4910 with this option. The year prior in 1969, 22,129 corvette’s were made. In the year after 1971, only a few more at 14,680 Corvettes were manufactured. it is likely there are less than 2000 vehicles similar to this year left out there. What is Making this an exceptionally low production model is the volume of bronze painted Corvettes just under 350 units total. Get a professional paint and restoration on this vehicle and you have a concourse gem. This is an exceptionally rare vehicle.

This vehicle is 90% original with the exception of three things the paint the clutch and the demon carburetor.

Driven on weekends only this vehicle needs a few minor repairs new rug in the driver side, minor adjustments and the windshield wipers do not function from the switch. This vehicle spent most of its first 30 years on the west coast and has been garaged for the last 25 years by me. I originally had planned a full restoration of this vehicle, but it is not going to be completed due to my age.

I put this project off too long.
