The Simpson 260 7M is a rugged, accurate, compact, easy to use instrument.  It measures AC and DC Voltage, Direct Current, Resistance, Decibels, and Output Voltage.  Test leads are included with this meter.  An OFF/Transit position is added to the function switch to protect the meter movement during transit.  Batteries have been removed as a caution in the shipping.  There are two batteries in the ohmmeter circuit.  One is a NEDA 13F size D cell and furnishes 1.5 volts for the R x 1 and R x 100 ranges.  A NEDA 1604 battery furnishes 9 volts for the R x 10,000 ranges.  The technical data of this meter is copied and included with this instrument. The mirrored dial is provided to eliminate a parallax.  This meter has a roll top cover for added protection.
