I honestly thought I would be driving this for years. Unfortunately I’m pretty certain the head gasket has gone and I simply don’t have the time to fix it. This Golf is way too good to scrap, it’s currently still drivable. Someone please save it.

YOU CAN DRIVE IT. As long as you regularly stop, say around 60 miles if on a long run and add more coolant you can keep driving indefinitely. Until a couple of weeks ago I had been driving it to work and back. 40 mile round trip. Every morning I just top up the coolant, when it cools overnight the water disappears. There is no water in the oil. It starts perfectly every time. But it is pressurising the header tank. I have another car now and can’t afford to own both. You will obviously need to sort tax and insurance if you want to drive it away. MOT’d until 4th March 2027.

It had 2 new front tyres before the MOT. Rears are in good condition. Full leather interior, including door cards and arm rest. Working Aircon. Cruise Control. Upgraded Stereo with hands free phone calling. 6 speed manual. Cam belt and water pump done 20k miles ago. Serviced every 10,000 miles without fail. No knocks or nasty noises. Still pulls like a train. A few minor marks and a couple of tiny dings, odd stone chip but that’s about all. It’s been well looked after.

Added bonus if you visit London, it’s ULEZ compliant. Check for yourself.

Boot only unlocks with key. And then it’s temperamental. 

Red bit between gauges on dash disappears on very hot days,

It’s a much loved Golf Mk4 PD130 that’s in unmolested condition, it just needs someone with a bit of spare time and talent to give it some tlc. Then you’ll have an extremely nice golf.

Comes with 2 keys, V5 and various paperwork. Only one key in image as the second is with the car. FYI. I had a personal number plate on the car whilst I’ve owned it. It’s now back on its original plate.

Car is at my parents house in Bournemouth as I don’t have extra parking at home.

A genuinely lovely car. If I had the time and money I would fix it. Currently I just don’t.
