Offered here is a large lot of older Singer Sewing Machine accessories.  It is from a local estate and I know nothing about sewing machines – I can only describe what I see and show pictures.

Included are-

-Automatic Zigzagger no.160985 with instructions.  The box is intact.

-Singer Attachment no.160809, 7 pieces, no instructions.  The box is intact.

-(4) small attachments not labeled with a makers name

-(10) Greist attachments. Researching the patent number on one piece yielded this information [edited]:

US Patent #2,593,519 is for a Ruffler attachment for sewing machines, patented on April 22, 1952.    …. you are looking at a classic Greist Ruffler Foot (often manufactured by the Greist Manufacturing Company for brands like Singer, White, and others).    A ruffler is an engineering marvel for a sewing machine. It uses a small blade to physically push, gather, or pleat a piece of fabric right before the needle comes down, allowing you to create perfectly spaced ruffles or gathers instantly.
