1742 FABLES by THE LATE MR GAY 2nd Edition Vol 2 Antique - Leather - Illustrated

This an excellent volume of 'Fables By the Late Mr Gay', published in 1742 and a second edition, volume 2

This book contains 16 fables, each with a wonderful full-page illustration by Gerard Jean Baptiste Scotin.


The volume is in good clean condition for its extensive age with very little spotting and age-related markings.  The title page has had the words 'Volume the second' rubbed away for some unknown reason, please see detailed photos.

It is very well bound in full leather with some expected wear and minor splits to the spine edges. It measures approximately 8.25 inches by 5 inches.
