RARE Antique Caduceus  Medical / Doctors Gilt Brass & Glass Table Lamp c.1920

This is an extraordinary gilt brass & frosted glass table lamp in the form of the caduceus, circa 1920. The bulbs sit in holders behind the wings with repousse gilt metal anthemion leaf reflectors behind.

As beautiful as it is, I suspect the real value in this piece is having the design reproduced. 

CONDITION one wing has noticeable damage, the other has a chip to the tip of the wing. There was probably a finial at the top originally but I havent been able to find a single other example to compare. It is currently wired & as the images show it will illuminate but it needs to be rewired.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
