A Good Antique / Vintage Picture Frame

Date: c.1900.

This is a good solid picture frame, with a very attractive profile, of moulded form and with multiple 'steps'.

Hardwood construction with a vintage gold (brush painted) finish. The paint is around 40 years old and although not  period to the construction of the frame, it has mellowed quite nicely all the same. 

The frame could be used as is, or stripped and repainted etc as you see fit. A blank canvas it presents a very good basis for your framing project. The specific design and style of the moulding means that it can be employed with truly antique or contemporary works alike; a highly versatile example. And of course, it can orientated landscape or portrait. Further, because of the symmetrical design it would potentially cut down.

Condition:

In used antique / vintage condition. Some wear and marking but presentable.
