A Good Antique - Vintage Chinese Hardwood Stand
Date: c. late 19th - early 20th century (possibly late Qing).
A nice stand, of low profile with a rectangular-shaped top.
With a carved apron to each side, with stylised ruyi.
Nicely supported on squat 'ogee' styled knees and feet.
The top with four old recesses from where an object once located (these could be filled, adapted or used as is).
A classy and stylish looking piece, this is a good quality, solid and robust platform, fairly heavy for its size. It would take jade, soapstone or other relatively heavy objects with ease.
Old / natural patination: uncleaned, unpolished.
Dimensions:
6 inches wide x 4 3/16ths deep x 1 5/8ths high
Condition:
In good overall condition, as shown. Uncleaned. Structurally sound. Strong.
