This is a fantastic Hematite Tumbled Stone Specimen from Brazil!  It is about .5" and has a couple flatter sides to it to display on desktop or shelf.  It has been tumbled and has a reflective mirror quality to the finish.  Comes with Collector Rock #11 Card with description of the stone.  Hematite (Fe2O3) is one of the most common minerals we are likely to encounter on earth.  It is the most important ore of iron.  Hematite is composed of iron oxide (70% Fe, 30% O) and can be red, grey or black in color.  It occurs in tremendous beds of sedimentary origins, altered and enriched by subsequent solutions after being laid down.  These specimens have been tumbled and polished to give them smooth and shiny surfaces.  Origin is Brazil.
