Finished in a striking shade of red and built with classic hot rod style in mind, this 1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Coupe is a well-executed street rod that combines timeless pre-war styling with tasteful upgrades throughout. The sleek body features shaved door handles, custom pinstriping, and a set of iconic Boyd Coddington wheels that perfectly complement its aggressive stance. Adding to its personality is the hand-brushed "He's a Rebel" artwork across the rear, giving this Chevrolet a unique character that is sure to draw attention wherever it goes.
Inside, the custom gray cloth interior is accented by red piping that ties in beautifully with the exterior finish. Modern digital gauges provide accurate instrumentation while maintaining a clean, custom appearance. The cabin was built with comfort in mind and features an aftermarket air conditioning system. The system is currently not operational and will need to be recharged, but all components remain installed. This is a street rod designed to be enjoyed, whether cruising to local shows or hitting the open road.
Power comes from a Chevrolet small block V8 believed to be a 350 cubic-inch engine, breathing through an Edelbrock intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor. The engine bay is nicely detailed with chrome accents throughout, creating an attractive presentation whenever the hood is opened. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator paired with an electric cooling fan, helping keep temperatures under control during warm-weather cruising.
The undercarriage reflects the quality of the build, showing a clean and tidy appearance with numerous upgrades over the factory configuration. Up front is an independent front suspension setup featuring tubular control arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and a front sway bar for improved handling and drivability. Disc brakes are fitted up front, and the car is believed to be equipped with four-wheel disc brakes. Out back sits what appears to be a Ford 9-inch style rear axle, a popular and durable upgrade in the street rod world. Power is believed to be routed through a TH350 automatic transmission, making this Chevrolet easy and enjoyable to drive.
Whether you're looking for a weekend cruiser, a local show participant, or a classic hot rod with proven street manners, this 1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Coupe delivers vintage style, custom craftsmanship, and modern drivability in one eye-catching package.
