Player Notes: Bernard King was explosive. He was a 2x All American at the University of Tennessee who was drafted 7th overall in the 1977 NBA Draft. Over his subsequent 14 year NBA career, he was a 4x All-Star, 6x MVP nominee, 1x MVP Winner, a scoring champion and the NBA Comeback Player of the Year. His career scoring average of 22.5 points per game have him 39th on the All Time List. With over 19,000 career points, he also stands in the Top 60 overall for total points scored. He was arguably most famous for his 60 point fame on Christmas Day 1984 for the New York Knicks. He was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013
