We just ascertained that artist, Walter E. Church (1893-1976), was a prominent architect in Portland, Oregon. In addition to his buildings, his legacy is a wonderful collection of pencil drawings, done in the 1920s in France and England, perhaps on a grand tour. This one, dated July 12,1920 is an architectural study in Canterbury. It is matted in an acid-free mat to 11" x 14" for ease of framing and is in very good condition with some age toning at edges (under mat), as pictured.
