Presenting a wonderful artistry brooch by Matilde Poulat made of sterling silver, amethyst, turquoise and spiny oyster. This Mexican made brooch has two doves facing each other, sometimes called kissing doves. They surround an oval amethyst cabochon and are surrounded by petit point turquoise beads. The brooch is actually three separate sections - the birds are the top part, while the middle is the scalloped section of spiny oyster. The bottom ends with five dangling teardrop and circle shaped pieces. The back is stamped, "MEO2" and "Sterling Mexico CEL 925" on the back. Collectors of cool Southwest sterling jewelry will love this kissing dove brooch!

Measurements: 2 3/8 inches long by 2 inches wide at its widest point.

Condition: Pre-owned vintage. The sterling has tarnished but also has a lovely patina. The petit point turquoise and spiny oyster beads appear dusty. One of the dangling pieces at the bottom has a very slight bend to it - it's not discernable from the front but is noticeable from the back.  The pin back also has a very slight bend to it.
