Description
This is one of several works I am listing by the artist Richard Siddall act 1940s/70s. His use of colour and composition are masterful, especially his portraits. This painting depicts a lovely portrait study of a lady. it is executed in oils on board and is unsigned and dates circa 1940s/50s. It came from the artists studio sale. It is utterly charming and very evocative of the time. It measures 20x16 inches and comes unframed. It is in period studio condition which means it would benefit from a clean but in my opinion this is part of its charm and I would leave it as it is and in the right frame it will look stunning. It was photographed in natural light.
