Vintage portrait painting of a gent by Richard Siddall - oil painting

This is one of several works I am listing by the artist Richard Siddall act 1940s/70s. His use of colour and composition are masterful, especially his portraits. This painting depicts a lovely moody portrait of a gent, it is executed in oils on board and is unsigned and dates circa 1940s/50s. It is utterly charming and very evocative of the time. It measures 26x20 inches and comes unframed. It is in period studio condition which means it would benefit from a clean but in my opinion this is part of its charm and in the right frame it will look stunning. It was photographed in natural light.
